Christmas Treasuries

Do give books - religious or otherwise - for Christmas. They're never fattening, seldom sinful, and permanently personal."

~ Lenore Hershey

The Golden Book of Christmas Tales
This is an old book with one or two page stories.
Highlights: story of St. Nicholas, La Befana, and the Christmas Rose
Lovely art

The book has the story of The Crippled Lamb in it.  Need I say more?
Great story times.

We are LOVING this book. Each  real life Canadian story is about a page long. Stories from early Christian missionaries to post World War 2 memories, and they come from coast to coast with engaging stories about deep winter in the various parts of Canada.

The Saturday Evening Post has phenomenal art in this Christmas Book for Children.
The Poetry and Fun and Games section have been our favourites.
